Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing
Over 23 million people in Bangladesh lack access to safe water. 43% don’t have access to proper toilets – over 66 million people. As a result, more than 7,000 children under the age of 5 die every year from contaminated water, poor sanitation and improper hygiene.
In rural areas, many people lack access to basic sanitation and proper drainage systems, which further contaminates their water sources. Households often depend on highly stressed neighboring water points that are functional only a few months out of the year. Others collect water from distant rivers or streams.
Will you help us improve the quality of life for families by providing them with clean water? Can you join hands with us to reduce the daily burden of water collection that falls on women and children?
Will you join hands with us to help eliminate the incidence of water related diseases? Providing clean water to families will also help local farmers increase their crop production and nutrition levels will improve.
